Academic Planner Pro is an AI powered Assignment Planner designed for undergraduate college students managing multiple courses while balancing responsibilities such as jobs, extracurriculars, and exams.
In Spring 2026, UITS Student Outreach launched the GenAI Student Intern Program, with the goal of facilitating for-students-by-students projects that addressed real-world challenges in higher education. Out of a pool of 418 applicants across the entire Indiana University system, 68 students were chosen and divided into 16 teams.
These students were a diverse mix of undergraduate and graduate students from all years and majors, ranging from anthropology to business to computer science. Their projects helped connect students to IU resources, provide effective and ethical methods of studying and time management, simulate real-world business problems, and even assist in finding healthy food options.
Note: To interact with mini-GPT projects, you must be signed into the Indiana University ChatGPT Edu Workspace. Project overview pages are available to all site visitors.
