JagTrack is a student-focused event impact simulator and syllabus extractor designed to help students understand how social events may affect their coursework. The tool helps students compare an upcoming event against their current academic week, class workload, syllabus deadlines, assignment progress, and personal goals. Students can manually enter class information or upload a PDF or DOCX syllabus, and the simulator extracts likely upcoming quizzes, exams, projects, assignments, due dates, and workload details.
The project is built as a browser-based GitHub Pages app. Students do not need to install anything to use the live version. They can open the simulator, enter their current study context, add event details, upload or type class workload information, and review the results. The simulator provides an overall risk level, detected next priorities from the syllabus, and a recommended recovery plan to help students decide whether attending an event is manageable.
JagTrack is intended to support better planning, stronger routines, and more informed decision-making. It is not a replacement for academic advising or personal judgment, but it gives students a clearer view of upcoming responsibilities before they commit time to an event. The project processes syllabus uploads in the browser, and users should still review extracted information for accuracy because syllabus formats can vary.
How to use the JackTrack Event Impact Simulator
- Open the GitHub Pages link in your browser.
- If you want to test the simulator first, click Load sample data. This fills in example classes and an example event so you can see how the tool works.
- Fill in your Current study context:
- Choose your current academic week.
- Choose the current month and day.
- Add the current time if you want a more specific result.
- Enter the event you are thinking about attending:
- Type the event name.
- Choose the event week, month, day, and time.
- Enter how long you will be away.
- Choose whether the time away is in hours or days.
- Add your classes. You can do this two ways:
- Upload a syllabus as a PDF or DOCX file.
- Or click Add another class and type the class information yourself.
- If you type class work manually, use a simple format like this:
Week 7 | Midterm exam | Mar 4 | 20%
Week 8 | Research proposal | Mar 11 | 15%
Week 9 | Quiz 3 | Mar 18 | 10%
- Choose your student goal from the dropdown menu. You can pick a goal such as protecting your grades, staying on top of deadlines, or going only if the recovery plan looks realistic.
- Read the results on the right side of the page:
- Overall risk shows whether the event is Low, Medium, or High risk.
- Detected next priorities shows the next quiz, exam, project, or assignment.
- Recommended recovery plan gives steps to help you catch up if you attend the event.
- If the syllabus upload does not look right, edit the class schedule text by hand. Some syllabi are harder for the simulator to read, especially scanned PDFs.
- To start over, click Reset.

-powered academic impact simulator
designed to help students make
smarter decisions, reduce stress, and stay ahead before
falling behind. On the left-hand side,
JAGTRACK begins by organizing the students'
academic information into one centralized
workspace. Students can upload or
manually enter course -related details by
uploading each course syllabus, or entering
the information directly into the system.
This helps the system understand their
workload and schedule. Students can then
enter an event or activity they're
considering attending, like a basketball
game, concert, trip, work shift, or social
outing. this student wants to
attend a basketball game during Week
8 of the semester. This Thursday night
game will last for three hours. Based
on that, the student wants to know whether
they can attend the game and still stay
on top of school. JAGTRACK uses this
information to simulate how that decision
may impact their academic workload
and time management. Below that, the
platform displays the student's active
courses, creating a clear overview of
academic commitments across the semester.
This allows JAGTRACK to evaluate how different responsibilities overlap
throughout the week. JAGTRACK also highlights
upcoming assignments, quizzes, projects,
and deadlines. Instead of forcing
students to mentally track everything at
once, the platform creates a structured
timeline of priorities. This helps students
immediately recognize periods of high
academic pressure. Once the student
information and event details are entered,
JAGTRACK analyzes the full academic picture and
generates personalized simulation results.
On the right -hand side, JAGTRACK
presents the simulation results. The platform
evaluates the student's workload intensity,
upcoming deadlines, and available study
time to predict the academic impact
of the selected event. JAGTRACK then
calculates an overall academic
pressure score. This gives students
a quick understanding of whether their
schedule is manageable, overloaded, or
approaching a high -risk period. Instead
of vague productivity advice, students
receive actionable insight based on
their real schedule. For example, the
system identifies which courses may
be most affected. By pinpointing
specific classes or assignments at risk,
students can prioritize their attention where
it matters most. JAGTRACK doesn't
simply warn students about potential
problems. It provides AI -generated insights
that explain why certain risks exist
and how students can better balance their
responsibilities. Finally, JAGTRACK
generates a personalized recovery plan. These
recommendations may include adjusted study
sessions, earlier preparation windows,
workload redistribution, or time management
strategies designed to help students recover
before falling behind. The goal isn't to
