    Kelley Business Readiness Platform

    The Kelley Business Readiness Platform is built for undergraduate business students who learn strong frameworks and theories in the classroom but get limited practice applying them in the real world, where decisions are messy, information is incomplete, and there is rarely a clean right answer. Classroom learning and case competitions build essential foundations, but they cannot give every student the volume of individual, real-time decision reps needed to close the Business Readiness Gap before internships, interviews, and first jobs.

    The platform’s lead module, the Crisis Management Simulator, drops students into AI-generated business crises tailored to their Kelley major, like a liquidity crunch for a finance student or a supplier failure for a supply chain student, and asks them to respond as the decision-maker in charge. Midway through, the simulation throws a dynamic curveball that forces students to adapt as new information changes the situation, just like it would on the job. Once the scenario ends, students receive a scored debrief that breaks down their reasoning, communication, and strategic choices, explains the downstream consequences of each decision, and shows how a professional in their field might have handled it.

    What makes the platform unique is its three-prompt chained AI architecture: scenario generation, live curveball injection, and debrief scoring all run as connected calls, which means no two simulations play out the same way and every student gets personalized, real-time feedback grounded in the specific decisions they made. Different tools build different muscles, and this platform fills the individualized, repeatable practice gap that team-based formats structurally cannot.

    How to Use the Artifact

    1. Open the platform link and select your Kelley major from the dropdown on the home screen.
    2. Click “Start Simulation” to generate a crisis scenario tailored to your field.
    3. Read the scenario and type your response as the decision-maker. When the curveball appears, respond the same way as the situation evolves.
    4. Submit your final decision to receive a scored debrief covering your reasoning, communication, and strategic judgment, along with recommendations for how a professional in your field might have approached it.

    Hello, and good day to the viewers of this demo. My name is
    Reese, and I'm on Team H with Arushi
    and Delayna. And this is the Kelley Business Readiness
    Platform. You've sat through
    the lectures, you've crushed the case
    comp, you walk into your first
    internship, into your first real meeting,
    and someone turns to you and says,
    what would you do? And in that
    second, you realize the gap. You know
    the frameworks, You can analyze a
    case from 12 angles, but you've never had
    to be the person on the clock. with
    incomplete information, making the call that
    the room is actually waiting on. That's
    not the problem. Not that Kelley isn't
    teaching the right things. It's teaching
    them well, quite well. Classes give you
    the frameworks. Case comps
    sharpen your team reasoning under pressure. Internships give
    you exposure. But there's one
    specific muscle that none of those
    formats can train at volume, and
    you actually need. Individual, real-time,
    repeated practice, making the call
    yourself. alone on a deadline with a
    debrief at the end that tells you what
    you got right and what you missed. That's
    what this platform is built for.
    Think of it as a flight simulator for
    business decisions. Students log in with
    their email, pick their major, and the
    platform remembers them. Every scenario
    they run, every score they get, every
    decision they make gets stored to their
    account. So when they come back next
    Tuesday, they're not starting from zero.
    They're picking up where they left off. Here's
    what that actually looks like for a
    returning student. All the simulations
    scored, the score stitch on the dashboard
    color-coded, the date and the major,
    the scenario title. Over a semester, it
    becomes a record of where their judgment
    is sharpening and where it hasn't. Real
    practice, the real history attached to
    it. That's the part that makes it stick.
    Let's run a new one. Marketing major, foundational tier.
    Every scenario is generated live when
    you click that button. But it's not a random prompt. It's structured. While that's loading,
    here's what's happening underneath and why
    this isn't just a chatbot throwing curveballs
    at you. The platform runs three different
    prompts in sequence. The first one writes
    the scenario with a name stakeholder, a real
    deadline, and specific constraints built to
    feel like a situation a marketing manager
    would actually walk into. The second one
    reads what the student decides to do and
    writes a curveball that responds to their
    specific choice. The third one reads everything
    they've done and writes the debrief. Three
    jobs, three prompts, all chained together.
    That structure is what keeps the scenarios
    from feeling random. Every beat connects
    to the one before it. It runs slower
    right now than it eventually will.
    We're on a student budget, so the API
    calls take a beat. Here's what came back. Name stakeholder,
    real deadline, specific constraints.
    The student isn't reading a case from
    2009. They're inside a situation that
    could have happened to a marketing
    manager last week. That's the difference
    between learning about decisions and
    learning to make them. The student writes
    their actual response in their own words.
    It's not a multiple choice, not true or
    false. They have to put a real decision on
    the page the way they would in a real meeting
    or a real email. And whatever they
    write goes back into the AI as the input
    for what happens next. Then, the curveball
    lands. And notice, it's not a random twist.
    It references what the student just
    decided. The AI reads their response and
    builds the next beat on top of it. That's
    what makes this feel like a real situation
    developing in real time, not a quiz
    that's just testing it. This is the
    screen that earns the rest of the platform. It's not a grade in
    a sentence. It's a structured walkthrough
    that quotes the student's actual words back to
    them. Names what worked shows what a stronger
    response would have looked like and ends
    with one specific thing to carry into the next
    marketing-specific lesson, not a generic
    one. This is the part that turns a four
    -minute simulation into something the student
    will remember on Tuesday. And it lands here. Every
    run scored, building into a record over
    time. That's the platform. What you just
    saw is one module, one tier, built in a few
    weeks on a student budget. The bigger
    version of this has more tiers, more modules,
    interview coaching, ethical dilemmas, team
    dynamics, instructor integrations, and runs
    without the weight. Here's the part that
    matters. There's real research behind why a
    tool like this makes the rest of a Kelley
    education work harder. Case competitions
    train you to reason in team. This trains you
    to reason on your own. Classroom cases teach
