    OneDrive Course Organizer

The OneDrive Course Organizer is a student-focused web app designed to help students create a faster and more consistent course organization system in Microsoft OneDrive. Instead of manually creating folders, subfolders, outlines, and starter pages files for every course each semester, users sign in with Microsoft, upload course syllabi, and allow the app to automatically generate a structured semester workspace.

    Instructions for Website Users

    1. Open the application.
    2. Sign in with a Microsoft account.
    3. Select a semester.
    4. Optionally upload a notes template.
    5. Upload one syllabus for each course.
    6. Click Create Folders and Files.
    7. Review the generated semester workspace in OneDrive.

    OneDrive Course Organizer Demonstration Video.

    Description of the video:

    Every semester students
register for multiple courses for which they
    must pull syllabi, organize materials,
and track dates. The time spent aggregating
all course information into a central location
can take hours. There is a better
way to automating all of the minutiae
of organizing student materials for an
    upcoming semester. Students need only
    to input their upcoming semester's
syllabi and the course organizer automatically
    reviews the syllabus and generates
    file organizers located in the
student's OneDrive. First, log into the
course organizer using your IU Microsoft
    credentials.
    Select the semester for which
you'd like the folders created. If you have
already created a folder using this process but
need to add an additional course, click the
workflow drop-down to simply add a course to
an existing semester folder rather than
creating a duplicate semester folder for that
single course. If you have a specific notes
template used for your course you can upload
them here. Add in as many courses as needed
for a given semester. Remember you can always
come back and add more if needed. Please
note the name of your syllabus file is
irrelevant. The app will read your syllabus and
generate your courses folders based on the
    syllabus's content. Check the confirmation
box that you have added all necessary
courses and select Create Folders and
Files and it's complete. Hopping over to your
OneDrive you'll now see a folder specific
to the semester you just created. Inside of
the semester folder you'll find each class
broken out into its own folder. Within
each class folder are subfolders for assignments,
    exams, outlines, and readings. My
notes template is also embedded in this folder.
Finally, the outlines folder contains a
course outline which summarizes all of the
course's scheduled content for ease of tracking.
We hope you enjoy the application and
    thank you for watching.
