Description of the video:

First-year college
students often struggle to manage
academic responsibilities because they
lack effective study strategies
and feel overwhelmed by deadlines and
course expectations. Many rely on
ineffective methods like cramming or passive
review, which leads to poor performance and
stress. To address this, we created
StudyBuddy, TestTutor, an AI-powered study
planning tool that helps students understand
what to study, how to study, and when to
study. It transforms raw materials like
syllabi or notes into structured,
personalized study plans. Our target users
are first-year undergraduate
students transitioning from high school
to college. When users first open
StudyBuddy, they are introduced to the
main features of the platform, including
personalized study plans, smart scheduling,
progress tracking, and the AI tutor.
To begin,
select "Get Started" The user will then
be asked to set their study preferences
to match their schedule and how
they like to learn. These settings can
be changed later. After this, the
user is taken to the dashboard
where they can create and
manage courses. To add a course, click
add course and enter the required details
such as the course name, description, and
study goals. You can choose a color to
associate with the course and select the assessment
type from the drop down menu such as
quiz, test, final exam, presentation, and choose
the assessment day. Next, input the topics
you want to study. You can add
multiple topics. You can also add
course materials by selecting one
or more files. Once everything is
filled in, click create course and
generate study plan. After creating a course,
the dashboard will display the tasks you
need to complete for the day. You can
also add more courses from the right panel.
Click on view details to explore the course
further here you can review your tasks
access quizzes based on your uploaded materials
and view your study plan leading up to
the exam date the user can take a practice quiz
curated to the course in this case Calculus
1 the user should read the prompt
carefully select the best answer and mark their
confidence level before moving on
continue this process for all the questions in
the quiz and submit the quiz when you reach
the end. Then review your overall score and
performance summary. Scroll through the quiz
to read the correct answers and
explanations for each question using them
to identify areas that need more practice.
Review any remaining tasks you have for
the day across your courses and mark each
one as complete once finished. Navigate
to the main dashboard into settings to
refine how Study Buddy supports you. From
here update your daily study routine and
learning preferences. Now I'm going to
magically add some more courses to my Study
Buddy study plan. You can see how
the study layout is consistent between each
course but the study plan reflects on
the course details. Let's now explore
the AI tutor feature. Open a new chat with
the AI tutor and type a question such as,
"What is the difference between a derivative
and an anti-derivative?" Then read through
the detailed explanation provided
by the AI tutor. Use follow-up
questions if needed to clarify any part
of the concept. Finally, let's
switch over to our accounting course and
take a look at our practice quiz over
financial accounting.
