Speed Dating with Learning Technologies

Join UITS Learning Technologies for Speed Dating with Learning Technologies. This event will take place on March 28, 2025, 10:00 am - 11:30 am ET.

Register with Learning Technologies

Speed Dating with Learning Technologies is exactly what it sounds like—a matchmaking event that encourages participants to "date" a range of potential tools and services, gaining exposure to a lot of resources within a short period of time.

Participants will have around 10 minutes to "speed date" (i.e., learn about) a specific tool or service before meeting their next "date." Each Zoom breakout room will introduce a resource of interest, and matchmakers (presenters) include staff from across UITS Learning Technologies and other key partners including publishers and vendors of learning tools and digital courseware.

We are looking forward to helping you make a perfect tech match!

Note: Connection details will be sent after registration. To fully participate in this event, please make sure you download, install or upgrade to the latest Zoom app for your desktop or mobile device and log in with your IU credentials.

Gradescope Answer Groups

Instead of grading one student response at a time, you can group them into similar responses, then apply one grade or feedback to the entire group. This has the potential to significantly reduce grading time for many written question types. Additionally, AI Assistance automatically suggests answer groups for review, enhancing the grading experience.

Presenter: Terence Govender, Instructional Technology Consultant – IU Columbus Center for Teaching & Learning

Gradescope Bubble Sheets

Bubble Sheets provides instructors with a convenient way to create digital, multiple-choice answer keys. Students can download and print a pre-made PDF bubble sheet template, complete their answers, and then upload the scanned sheet for automatic grading within Gradescope. It streamlines the process of handling multiple-choice assignments, making grading more efficient and accurate.
