Hello everyone,
Next week, you'll gain a new tool to help with readying your courses: The Course Setup Wizard for Canvas. Developed based on feedback from instructors, the Wizard is designed to help streamline processes for setting up a course.
You can use it to do any of the following:
- Import content from a previous Canvas course*
- Import the customizable IU course template or another template
- Add a professionally designed home page you can make your own
*If you're bringing over content from another course, consider running TidyUp first –– it's a cleanup tool for quickly viewing and cleaning out anything you no longer need.
Beginning March 30, a pop‐up will prompt you to start the Wizard when you open an unpublished course. You also can start the Wizard from the sidebar on the course's Settings page.
The Wizard will continue to evolve, so I'll be sure to let you know as new features become available. If you would like a demonstration, be sure to sign up for Speed Dating with LT on April 21.
